Latest info on Tony Jones.   His mother is on her way here.   Tentative date for cremation is now Thursday morning.   Time not sure of at this moment.    His mother will take Tonys' ashes home with her.    The Buddhist Temple crematory on Victory Hill.     At the post office turn towards the beach and it is on the left not to far.    When I have a time I will post it here.

He will be missed by many expats here.   Had the best run bar in town.

Ceremony and start of cremation about 10 am this morning.    Some of us will try to open Charlie Harpers for drinks and beer about 1pm to hold our own style of wake in remembrance of Tony.

I know this eventually has to come up, John. Who will run Charlie Harper's now? Do they know, yet?

The ceremony and cremation happened without any real problems.   60 some Barangs were in attendance.   We sent him on his way.    Charlie Harpers opened around 2pm.   Huge crowd showed up to lift a few for Tony.    He will certainly be missed.

I believe Baz, one of the owners is due in today.     About the only person here who knows much of anything about the operations is Tracy.    She could become interim manager until a permanent person can be found.    Tracy is not exactly excited abo9ut said possibility.

Should have a better idea by this evening.

dicey eye

I can't imagine SHV without Tony. What an enormous loss. There's a huge cultural vacuum that Tony left behind. Can't picture anybody coming close to filling it.
