Retirement visa

Recommended Posts

I agree with you Richard and have been saying, and expecting this for some time.

It will go the same way as the neighbouring countries. "but at what COST to the westerner?"

Business visas I can see getting a jolt too! With having this, eventually having to pay a monthly tax bill. Even if you don't earn.

I'll believe when I see it.

How long have they been discussing visas?

Expatriates already retired in Cambodia on business visas will not need to switch to the new visas, he added, but will have the option.

Looks like those of us already here, wouldn't need to change our visas anyway.

It may behoove you, Richard, to get over and buy a one year Business Visa.

The guy in ko Kong who sorts my visa, has told me about the new retirement visa! Same money has the ordinary visa, but you have to be 70 years old to qualify.

Wait. The last time you mentioned it, Andy, you said the guy who got one, said the age was 60. What is it?

Difficult to see why a retirement visa would be more attractive than a business visa (unless they plan to make business visas less attractive some way).

Who want's to get government (any government, anywhere) involved in vetting their finances and/or (presumably) having mandatory money deposits in less desirable currency in foreign bank accounts. - shades of the Phils version?
