At least Bill was lucky to avoid the rainfall. What is with the weather just now?
It rained a bit, several times, we just made it a point to stay inside while the rain fell. Try it, works very well.

So my journey begins. First a mini bus ride from Koh Kong to Phnom Penh, with small mini scoopy on-board. One night stopover in Phnom Penh to refresh, and enjoy some culinary delights.
The following morning we would set off on the next part of our moto ride! But first coffee and breakfast. then wandering though the busy streets of the city to the Japanese bridge on highway 6. Destination Kampong Cham. 127km. I decided to come off the main route and not proceed to highway 7. But to go the back country roads following the Mekong river. More pleasant I would think! But with the previous rainfall, half of the road had been washed away. Funny how something so simple turns epic. But never the less the ride was very enjoyable.
Arrival at Kampong Cham and check-in at the hotel. But alas only for a few nights, has the hotel was going to close for the Khmer new year. This would give me time to deliver the small moto to it's new owner. The lady was very pleased, so was I, mission accomplished. I must say for a 50cc moto the engine was very strong.
That night there was a free concert in town. Good food and cheap beer. Some music was also in English.
Now realizing I am bike less! next stop the moto shop! Negotiations for price.
New moto with plate and papers in my name to follow the morning after. This gave me the freedom at our leisure to explore parts of the province.
Photo on the way back to Phnom Penh. This time I decided to take route Highway 7 and 6. One night in the city, then the following days ride to Koh Kong.

Another moto for the family?
As much as I enjoyed riding motorbikes throughout many provinces in the Philippines, I doubt very seriously that I will do that here. I'm just getting too old to be sitting my ass on a motorbike seat all day.
Q: You want to learn about the Philippines?
A: Living In Cebu Forums.
