A map of the most lawless countries in the world

Venezuela is the most lawless country in the world according to the World Justice Project Rule of Law Index 2016.

The 2016 edition covered 113 countries and jursidictions, evaluating over 100,000 household and expert surveys to measure the rule of law across 44 indicators.

NO way Cambodia should be on that list.     Thailand, Burma, Libya, Yemen, Iran, Irag, Mexico, just to name a few much more deserving of being listed here.

I agree wholeheartedly, I thoroughly enjoy living in Cambodia and can't wait for my 2 1/2 month holiday in March, April, part of May to get back to Battambang and savor the vibes. Right now I only visit Cambodia every 70 days for the mandatory visa run required by Myanmar.

Come March its happy days!!!

I posted this bull-shit survey because it shows how inaccurate they are.

That's almost funny.  If all violations of law are being assessed as being equal, then Cambodia would make the list because of their driving alone.  But, somehow I don't think driving habits  equate to murder and terrorism.  To say that Cambodia and Afghanistan are almost equal in terms of lawlessness is beyond the pale.

Has an expatriate or tourist petty crime may be something to be aware of! Our embassies give us the travel warnings. But don't be blinked at the true face and facts of the life for Khmer people. Serious crime for and towards them. The country is still ruled by corruption. Crimes of murder, beating, mugging, sex crime. And many more still happen here.
