Kep???

Do any of you folks know anything about Kep?  I read a short article about it and it seems like a very interesting place about 3-4 hours south of Snooky.  I'm all ears, enlighten me, please!

For me, it was worse than Kampot. It's a shitty, small coastal town where, if we lived in a similar town in the USA, we would be counting out-of-state license plates all day.

I kinda liked the place.  It's a nice quiet, laid back kinda small town.  It's got a nice seafood market if you like that sort of thing.

Sorry, dude.

While I certainly don't need the likes of Pattaya or Phnom Pehn, the last place I want to be living, is in a cemetery.

EDIT: Damned nice photo.

I'm more of a homebody type, not a party animal.  To each his own.   :-)

I agree with Paul. It's overpriced and catatonic.

Kep to Ha Tien, Vietnam Border Crossing is about 40km. There’s a ramshackle village (Prek Chak) near the casino on the Cambodian side. Except for the garish Vegas styled casino & hotel the village is at best impoverished. Prek Chak Village is on the sea. Me thinks that area is gonna take off soon. Right now it’s virtually undeveloped. Once you get past the abject poverty of the village that place would be a fine investment – seafront property for a song and a dance. The beach is neat.

One photo is of Prek Chak beach the other is of the casino nearby. post-186-0-52078800-1482913957_thumb.jpgpost-186-0-28079700-1482913984_thumb.jpg

I was under the same impression! But what is the business visa situation? I know it differs between nationalities. I also hear it's impossible without having a Vietnamese partner?

I wonder why one would need a Vietnamese partner, Prek Chak is located in Cambodia, not Vietnam. Is there some kind of border dispute over beach front property in Prek Chak?
