What was their charge, per square meter, to do the work?

I built the house myself, has you know. 12000rial = $3 per sheet 4meter x 980. The sheeting is corrugated too. So no extra cost.

Here at the Bar I had the roofing built, steelwork, welding and painting, and sheeted, by two men completed in 1/2 a day at the cost of $124.

That cost was total.

But, how many square meters?

My price was for corrugated.

My sheets are all corrugated. I paid the agreed price on the Bar, to get the job done. Not price per meter. Negotiation's and materials will differ from stores and areas around Cambodia.

Okay. So, paid by the job, rather than by square meter.

There was an option cheaper, that we priced prior to having the barn built. But, I decided to just go with the wood. I may try going with all steel when I build the next large barn.

I have had conversations in the posts over time. Wood and metal, all have so many variables! Such as how will it be constructed, what materials and timescale.

example - In your per meter pricing, how many lengths of steel, would it be finished with some protective element, such as paint.

Are the steel workers competent in the work you need doing. Have they done this work before. And work they have done for others, have you yourself inspected it.

So many variables.................................................

So many variables.

Precisely the reason for buying my own welder.

Chan picked up, what looks like a US gallon can of  paint for $10 USD. Included were two 500mil water bottles filled with an oil to mix the paint with?

I'm thinking about paying another $15 for a can of primer. This will be applied to both the trusses and purlins.

I also bought a side grinder with ten cut off wheels and six polishing cups, as well.
