Anyone know the size of Cambodian red bricks? Do they differ from quality and size in the many provinces?

I remembered, as a boy, my father used to lay them on certain courses in a vertical orientation. They called them soldiers, IIRC.

 

I will try to find out for you tomorrow.

Yes! Now I understand, a practice used in my country for wall building, also some times above window and door lintels (mostly for decoration effect).
