I can see how viable it could be for a business. Lease the land, bring your own building. At the end of the lease, take it with you. Much less to lose at the end of the term of the lease.
Exactly! -- That's why I would seriously think about living in one if and when I retired (6mo on, 6mo off) in the Phils or Cambodia.
Not too difficult/expensive to make one quite comfortable....
Cheaper than hotel/house-rental alternatives after a year or so...
And, you are your own boss!...with all your own stuff.. furniture, fittings, etc
You can set one up on rented land and easily move it if and when you need/want to.
Meantime, it can be made very secure when not occupied (particularly if you monitor it via the internet - easy to do these days).
