Lemon and Limes seem to do very well. Drip system again like Bill has suggested.

Well, like I stated, we are planning on having a 15 cm (6") bore drilled sometime after the first of the year. We could definitely go with a drip system. Would just install an 8,000 - 10,000 liters water tank for back up water for the crops / trees. I guess we need to just see what we could plant there.

I like Mangoes. I think they take about 5 years to mature, though, if not mistaken?

Give Pomellos a look.  They sell for $1.50-$2.00 each, even in the public markets there.  It is a citrus tree, so beyond trimming the tree annually, and the harvest, they are not so labor intensive.  Cashew nuts are also a high-profit enterprise and let's not forget Chocolate!  There is a worldwide shortage of Chocolate right now, so the prices are high.  Chocolate trees only grow in certain Areas, but I believe Cambodia falls into the Chocolate range as does some of the PH.

Get some good seedlings. The dark variety are the best.

And besides all of that, this tree is clearly not pointed to the east.  Everyone knows the best chocolate comes from east pointing trees!

The scientist in me is curious Andy! - what is that thing 1/3 up the stem of your mythical cocoa tree photo?

It looks like the makings of a diamond engagement ring!

If so, there sure must be money in growing these plants! - Lol!

Just a little "bling" I think a farmer needs in this neck of the woods.
