Only been in Cambodia 3 months, and used 3 pages, i glean from travelers Vietnam is similar, I have a passport issued by queen Elisabeth 2, supposed to last ten years, at this rate i'll be lucky to last 3 years!

I would suggest, if you have the resources to do so anyway, to get longer extensions each time. Rather that one month ($50 USD), get a three month ($80 USD) , or a six month ($180 USD) extension. One year will cost you about $290 USD, by the way.

If I may ask, why would you only pay for one month extensions each time, anyway? That is a lot more costly than paying for longer terms.

When I get new usa passports I pay extra for extra pages.  I had extra pages put in at the embassy in PP a few years back and it was free... finished and accomplished within an hour.  Same with other countries on both counts

It was simpler and easier outside the states.  The one time I inquired about getting more pages in Los Angeles they required that I pay set up an appointment and pay a non refundable $50 which was no refundable should I miss the appointment.

It's about $82 USD now, for additional pages. But, they put two sets of them, 12 pages each, I believe, in the passport. Mine were sewn in.
