totally WRONG,

every thai land border issues a this VISA EXEMPT stamp.. 30 day stay

MAX 2 allowed /calendar year

NO idea why u use Bangkok for Oz flights,

just fly PP- KL or Singapore and onwards

How is my quote totally wrong?

Two land crossings. 2 entry stamps.

Thai visas would allow you to cross again.

Because you didn't word it exactly as Richard did. I'm surprised he didn't quote my post as well, as being wrong.

having to transit through Thailand was the authorities are kinda snotty.

I personally don't give two shits if I ever go back to Thailand again. There was a woman who used to work (may still, but it has been a while), at the Pailin border. Myself and Bill (now deceased) crossed over to do some day shopping, to return later that day. When we got up to her window, she was the most rude, arrogant, condescending cunt on the planet. She insisted they would not let us return that night, and to only come back the following morning, to go back to Cambodia. The whole country can go fuck itself now, as far as I am concerned. I don't give two shits if I ever go back there again. The Thais don't want foreigners there, for any reason than to spend their money and go home. The rude, arrogant, racist f*cks. If I need anything from that shit hole of a country, I will just get Chan to go there. She can come and go across 50 times a day, if she wants.

She has a passport then. Or pass book. Or pay police.

New passport office in KK

When I used to do it the opisit way the Khmer immigration would have to be paid to leave the same day. Thais I have never had a problem with.

My experience is opposite from yours. Thai authorities behave many times with me as punctilious butt-heads. Cold heart when dealing with foreigners

A little like refusing to go back to a resturuant because you had a rude waitress.

Though every time I have had to talk to Thai immigration they have been slightly rude to completely cold.

Last year I went to Thailand and came back the same day the woman at the counter rudely asked me why I was returning the same day. And before I could answer she said I have to wait until tomorrow. I saw a guy with a lot of medals/ribbons on his shirt so I said is that your boss? Then I called out to him and waved him to come over. She immediately changed her demeanor and stamped my passport.

Is there a such thing as a multiple entry visa for Thailand? Might be worth it if you have to cross the border a lot.

Yes! Richard will fill you in more about this. But for certain the 12 month retirement, that is if you have the money in the bank to qualify.

A friend of mine has just got a 12 month multi entry visa. The reason, the Khmer have the pass books and can go in and out at will. He said he had a business for many years and was in the same position but restricted, not having the same benefits. Before anyone diss-believes on the forum. The official paperwork was done with bodies at my place. Not many weeks after I had seen the visa in the passport. But I haven't asked details or how expensive.

Koh kong was Thailand up to a time after the second world War. The agreement with Cambodia was that they would exchange their island koh Chang. Bum deal I think for someone.

"Cometh the hour cometh the man"

Parrothead jolted me into getting off my ass and visiting the Thai Embassy this morning. Thanks Parrothead ( I feel a little odd calling you Parrothead) ,if I was  refused entry  at the thai border sometime because I never took your advice I'd be muuchoo angry with myself.

So yes John_Galt there is a multiple entry visa available for AUD$275. This would work out cheaper for me rather than paying fffing taxis to and from PP, plus the dodgy roads, etc.

However it takes time and effort to get one,and there are a number of conditions attached.

Bank balance of $8000, airline return ticket, proof of accomadtion (1 night only can do I believe) , submit in person, passport +copy, photo. But still it might suit me, and it's valid for six months (multiple entry only).

I'm confused Dante. You are talking about visiting for one month or so. You can do two land crossings in the year. On your first visit you will only use one, that is on your return back intoThailand.

A friend of mine has used his with. Well the last time having to go out of the country and return with a EB visa so he could get his EG EOS. He wants to go back into Thailand for the moto gp later in the year. The quote for the Thai visa is 50usd. I still have one entry left if I join him.
