James, my lady picked up this the other day! I have said before I have little knowledge on the subject. Could you tell me any more? Then I will tell you what she did with it. But you may have an idea of that too :)

yeah it is part of a wild harvested comb with sealed larvae.

my friend told me in his village a couple days ago that they climbed 40 m up a tree to one of the giant honeybee colonies- zapped it with a couple cans of Raid, knocked it down and ate it.

but for the small bees like A. cerana which this looks to be- they just burn the bees off and take the comb.

not much honey, larvae is what  they want.

usually grilled on charcoal

Thank you for the info James I would have never known. Yes she did barbeque it. I did not care for it. Personally give me a jar of honey and a slice of toast :)

I'm curious if there is much of a theft problem, both of honey and hives in Cambodia.  I know in Oregon, there is a thriving bee business, but theft is a growing problem for them.
