What was the sale price per meter? And was it in Battambang Provence?

She told me in that area its about $7000 per hectare. Yes in Battambang Provence about 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Battambang city.

Thanks for the info Richard. I had seen this property recently advertised. There would be a few things I would consider, if I was to invest in any property, buy or inherit (GF) or rent (preferable) I would never own the property. I know there are ways to gain ownership, but always at a price I would not, be willing to pay. so I still consider myself a guest in Cambodia.

Being remote is not for everyone. Then you have the daily visitors, that's OK but where do they all come from, "we are living remote".

Then you have the neighbour's, so larger the land, the better. So that leaves me the first choice of the (GFs) land, next to the family.

Missed a zero? 10,000 m2 per hectare. A damned good size piece of property.

Well now, that depends on where you are.  One hectare equals about 2.47 acres.  A lot of land in Cambodia perhaps, but in Montana where land is usually measured by sections, not much at all!  A section = 640 acres = 1 square mile.  So there, a hectare would give you a decent front lawn.

Still I would not want to mow it with a push mower :)

How you figure that?

A hectare is a hectare, regardless.
