Bee update

We went to the farm yesterday and performed a thorough inspection of the girls. The hives that are queenright are doing well. The queens are laying good, solid frames of brood. We did not see any swarm or supersedure cells. We did add a couple frames of brood to the queenless hive and removed two frames of honey.

Not very well, I am afraid. The were poisoned months ago, from spraying, as best as I can figure.

I was not long ago, again I was looking at land, found some to rent. Then also found half a dozen plastic bottles at the edge of the pond, yes pesticides, so no good putting livestock on that land.

The agriculture ministry made them illegal to import into the country earlier this year. But then later changed again.
