Bus just arrived one and a half hours late.

In central America when I lived there (mid 80s to 2008) buses an hour and half behind schedule were expected. An hour late was a pleasant surprise.

Rule of thumb - Hispanic time add two hours to the scheduled time.

Maybe so. But this driver I have used several times called me at 7.10 this morning to let me know he was here. Then he called again for me to come at 8 am and not be late.

All packed and ready to go.

In your case Cambodians are more punctual. Lucky to find a responsible driver.

Arrived in Phnom Penh. Late 5pm time. Passing the airport. Police traffic control stopped our bus to let the train pass into the departures. First time seen that train, only one carage.

Yes late and very busy and still raining.

Arrived then at central market and waited for the bike to be unloaded. Dark now too, got some fuel and rode up to the riverside, now hungry, and a curry was in order.

Starter

Poppadum's and condiments

potato cakes.

Nice nan bread in the photo.

Samosa.

We had just finished our meal, and drinking a couple of lassies, when suddenly a moto driver mounted the pavement and grabbed my helmet from the mirror of our bike only feet away from us, all without stopping and any care for people on the pavement.

Must have been a nice helmet.

Bought mine for $5 seven years ago, rather worst for wear.

Nobody would want to steal it.

Couldn't give it away.

I got the full-face helmet free with the moto. Pretty pissed about it. I don't wear that helmet too often. But the guy could have run someone over.

samosas veg are $3 and meat $5.

curry was around $7

Expensive here! They are cheaper in my country.
