Exactly ideal in a overcrowded cìty.

Japan.Tokyo. It was reality a number of years ago, where the arcateque bought  the surpluses concrete piping from a project in the city. Unfortunately I have forgotten it was some time back. 

The cost of the completed modular buildings was 35.000 dollars.

I think, living in a steel box is about as far as I am willing to go, concerning "alternative" living quarters.

No doubt. We had a 20' container, built for $3,000 USD. I would not pay the asking amount for two concrete tubes.

$35k is probably a great deal even for a tiny house in Tokyo

And you get a mini fridge!

The container is better for more rural living. The concrete tubes look decent enough for using up limited space in the city. 

3 or 4 of the tubes together might not be too bad but only 2 seems too small.
