Cambodia is changing, with foreign investment's for the new, many new things happening and prices to rise.

Someone, a Khmer said "look what they are going to do to my town".

It makes me wonder what will happen to the so called "normal" working class people. Who are the dreams for? For me their will be nothing of interest. I do believe it's only "time" a waiting game.

The other thing is also now with Thailand. They obviously see their neighbour in time growing to be more superior than them, face may have answered the question if they were going to join the new road and belt.

"Progress" is inevitable I guess but there is progress and then there is progress.  What is happening in Snooky profoundly depresses me.  It was a great town and the source of many happy memories for my wife and I.  Now?  From all that I read, it's turning into a haven for the rich Chinese, but whatever will happen to the poor Khmers in the process?  My guess is it will not be good.

New towns, is the country's leaders plan as part of the solution, there springing up around the provinces, it's the Chinese paying prime monies for top location development. Tax monies and redevelopment from high paying foreign long term lease holders, while also being in the position of somehow part funding the new Khmer developments, "the social and economic infrastructure of a country" can't be bad, if keeping out of the red.
