Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday charged a car garage owner who planted electrified wires around his plot of land without warning signs, leading to a 15-year-old boy to be electrocuted in Sen Sok district.

Colonel Hour Mengvang, district police chief, identified the accused as Pa Sothy, 65, living in Toek Thla commune.

He noted that Mr Sothy is charged with attempted murder and faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted. He is now in prison pending trial.

Based the sketchy report, if he had warning signs he wouldn't have been charged.

Suggestion for Paul - put up warning signs along your electrified fence.

The way it is written it sounds like he just connected electric wires.

Which is definitely a different kind of shock if you touched it than an electric fence.
