I gave up the booze about 2 years ago

booze is one of the most toxic substances available. 2 years off it after a lifetime on it!

Im lucky to be alive and blessed to be in good health after that. Look at the majority of foreigners deaths ,both Thailand and Cambodia ,either drugs or booze. Booze is usually slower and depending on which part of the body succumbs first can be a horrible way to go. Slow suicide. And they're just the publicised deaths.

In the "west" there's only a death notice in the local paper no mention of cause of death but the health department and police statistics are there for those interested.

Could not agree with you more. I have never been a big drinker. Mostly I don't really drink of such. If I go out on the odd occasion for a meal such as tonight we did; I had one beer with my meal.

I can't say when the next beer Will be.

I have a fridge partly full of beer and water, and I am more likely to use the water for coffee. Two reasons here, why! Keeping the beers in the fridge keeps the temperature so the motor don't keep running to go down to temperature. Especially when we we're having the power cuts. Coffee is better than paying for medicine for my low blood pressure.

But I have to sort out some exercise plan.

and that's the way it should be, even if you were to get pisssed now and then , there's nothing wrong with that. But when it takes over your life...and it can....then it is time to stop. Unfortunately it's not that easy to stop and many go to their grave being a slave to the booze and hurting their family and friends along the way.

well done.  It's only about keeping the body active to ensure its kept in good condition. Sometimes people will be more concerned with maintaining their motorbike or car and neglect their own body....which if you like ,is a vehicle of sorts .

Photo of my belly slowly saying bye, bye.

you look to be in better condition than a lot of people 15 years younger than yourself that I see  around the city in Perth!   No lie.
