Sad and crazy story

Very sad indeed, loss of an innocent young life, also the grief for the whole family that a situation is a difficult one to understand. I truly don't know much about the control of people who have mental health problems, in this country. Only by the means of the tragic news like this, and other peoples say so. News reports and stories of the family's own self care of their mental ill family members, too the point some are in chains due to the arm they may inflict to themselves and others. (I don't know how true that is) I would have thought there would be some kind of hospital and professional care for the most severe ill. Or does there have too be a tragic incident for any actions.

This is certainly a tragic case, the police chief says the young man had mental health problems, and was on medication, that possibly he was suffering from schizophrenia, and a drug user. Possibly/more so, this young man and his family were in need of professional help and care.

We are not doctors or the carers of this young man, also we don't know of the nature of the situation, we can only therefor only speculate of what maybe. One thing about this is, if the young man was a drug user, was this the cause of his problem and illness. Also had he been a danger to himself or others before the incident. Had he been taking his medication, were there observations or administrators, local care by doctors and regular checks on his welfare and needs, instruction on care and safety for the family.

Again, also to look upon this in a view of a sceptical way, that too many that would not seem fitting because of the nature of the tragedy. But the truth is it's also possible that none of this is the case, starting with the doctor (if any) only like many hold the qualifications they paid for. Although someone had diagnosed the young cold brutal killer, the police say that the young man had mental health problems, and was on medication, (what medication was he on, was it regular, prescribed or even affordable). Police also think schizophrenia maybe the young mans illness and he was found to be in later reports to be a drug user. that opens another question of what drugs was he known to be illegally involved and participate (did he live near the cassava farm) if so the police were late burning the 730 marijuana plants. I would expect it more to be the widespread very popular drug Ice, crystal meth (methamphetamine). Although some authorities in the country do seem to be playing this down a little, due to the fact that the drug in question, is too expensive for most ordinary people. Somehow don't come across like that in the news story's. So the alternative, possible to be Yabba, otherwise known as the madness drug or Nazi speed. Methamphetamine and caffeine, being the two main substances, 20% of the tablet being of the potent meth, and could be available and affordable at the low price $1.50 per pill. Thailand have had their worries how to keep this drug and it's users under control, the overall plan to eradicate it all together, is still now a never ending battle since it's ban back in 1970.

I was reading the original news article to this tragic story - The young murder was a suspected drug user, and there, it quoted he had a neurological disorder.

This kind of illness can be caused by many factors, malnutrition. I did notice the accused and the victim also looked certainly in this condition. Also drug use would take similar effects with weight loss. Such drugs as the common and widespread, easy availability of crystal meth or Yabba may give the user the desirable effects he or she may once have been seeking, but unsurprisingly, and quickly give way to the undesirable effects of the substance, examples of even used for short-term can elicit erratic and even violent behaviour when taken in large doses.

Also in this case the authorities could be so right due to the substances, if the accused was to be on any drugs at all, that is apart from medication for his illness. But the fact is the component structure of the illegal drug, first the amphetamine can cause schizophrenia, and caffeine is known to promote anxiety bipolar disorder. The consistent use of crystal meth can result in severe anxiety, paranoid and insomnia. Additionally, thoughts of suicide (or even homicide) have been noted in some meth abusers.

One thing more from the article, is the young man was chained at the ankle, this is what I had heard in stories about "mad people being chained". The question if he was on a length of chain how it looks in the photo, how did he obtain drugs? Quote from article above "After the act, the suspect did not flee" "he would have found it difficult being chained".  Or was he chained by the police?

Mental disorders comprise a broad range of problems, with different symptoms. However, they are generally characterized by some combination of abnormal thoughts, emotions, behaviour and relationships with others. Examples are schizophrenia, depression, intellectual disabilities and disorders due to drug abuse. Most of these disorders can be successfully treated. (World Health Organisation).
