A CHINESE national was killed in a car crash that transpired inside Fontana Leisure Parks and Casino at the Clark Freeport on Thursday, October 31.

The victim, who died at the Mabalacat City District Hospital, was identified as Zhigiang Lin, a Chinese national working at the resort.

The Public Safety Division of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Saturday, November 2, turned over the case to the Mabalacat City Police which covers the Freeport.

Police Sergeant Roldan Tababa said the Mabalacat Police Station is set to file on Monday charges of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide against the drivers of a white van and a black sports utility vehicle (SUV).

The two drivers were identified as Jomarie P. Intal of Barangay Bundagol, Mabalacat City and Ling Yang Ting, a Chinese national residing at Fontana.

In a video uploaded on Facebook by one Yanxuan Xu, it showed that the van collided with the SUV which hit Zhigiang before he was thrown into the air and smashed into a street signage.

The video went viral on social media, but the Facebook admin covered it to warn the public about its content.

Several netizens observed that the two vehicles seem to be overspeeding.

They also urged the CDC security department and highway patrol unit to enforce the speed limit inside the Freeport.

A few months ago, a group of Chinese-looking men, who were apparently drunk, figured in a self-accident along Gil Puyat Avenue.
